Momoya opens in SoHo

New Japanese eatery offers traditional fare

Japanese restaurant Momoya, owned by Kwang Ho Lee and Ron Lee, expanded to SoHo with its grand opening on Wednesday, March 30.

The restaurant is located at 47 Prince St. and offers a bi-level dining experience. The first floor includes a 12-seat pinewood sushi bar for a special omakase dining experience, while the second floor, along with a window view of New York’s most historic district, the restaurant will include an à la carte menu of Japanese specialties.

Special meals will be available that reflect the restaurant’s traditional menu.

Menu items include the Chef’s Kaiseki Omakase Menu ($150) with appetizers: asari osumashi soup; takimono; Agemono, fried dish; Okuchi Naoshi; Sushi; and Mizugashi for dessert!

Japanese culinary prevalent throughout New York City, any sushi aficionado in SoHo allows guests to experience the traditions of Japan, passed down by generations of Japanese masters.
